DWI-ASPECTS (Diffusion-Weighted Imaging-Alberta Stroke Program Early Computed Tomography Scores) and DWI-FLAIR (Diffusion-Weighted Imaging-Fluid Attenuated Inversion Recovery) Mismatch in Thrombectomy Candidates Brief Report
Conclusions—Agreement between clinicians assessing DWI-ASPECTS and DWI-FLAIR mismatch may not be sufficient to make repeatable clinical decisions in mechanical thrombectomy. The dichotomization of the DWI-ASPECTS (0–5 versus 0–6 or 0–6 versus 7–10) improved interrater and intrarater agreement, however, its relevance for patients selection for mechanical thrombectomy needs to be validated in a randomized trial.

Associations Between Collateral Status and Thrombus Characteristics and Their Impact in Anterior Circulation Stroke Clinical Sciences
Conclusions—Patients with lower thrombus burden and higher thrombus perviousness scores had higher collateral score. Association Between CT Angiogram Collaterals and CT Perfusion in the Interventional Management of Stroke III Trial Brief Reports
Conclusion— Better collaterals were associated with smaller ischemic core and higher mismatch in the IMS III trial. Collateral assessment and perfusion imaging identify the same biological construct about ischemic tissue sustenance.

The effect and associated factors of dispatcher recognition of stroke: A retrospective observational study.

Cause-specific Mortality after Stroke: Relation to Age, Sex, Stroke Severity, and Risk Factors in a 10-Year Follow-up Study
We investigated cause-specific mortality in relation to age, sex, stroke severity, and cardiovascular risk factor profile in the Copenhagen Stroke Study cohort with 10 years of follow-up. The obesity paradox in stroke: Lower mortality and lower risk of readmission for recurrent stroke in obese stroke patients
ConclusionsxObesity was not only associated with reduced mortality relative to normal weight patients. Compared with normal weight, risk of readmission for recurrent stroke was also lower in obese stroke patients.
