Detection of subclinical atrial fibrillation after cryptogenic stroke using implantable cardiac monitors
CONCLUSIONS: In a real-world population, ICM detected SCAF in more than a quarter of CS patients. This experience confirms the relevance of implanting CS patients, for maximizing the possibilities to detect AF, following failure of Holter monitoring, according to guidelines. Effects of computer-based therapy versus therapist-mediated therapy in stroke-related aphasia: Pilot non-inferiority study
CONCLUSIONS: The overall pattern of findings suggested computer-based intervention was not inferior to traditional therapist-based intervention for enhancing functional communication deficits in stroke-related aphasia during the acute phase of recovery. Multi-Center Randomized Phase II Clinical Trial on Remote Ischemic Conditioning in Acute Ischemic Stroke Within 9 Hours of Onset in Patients Ineligible to Recanalization Therapies (TRICS-9): Study Design and Protocol
Conclusion: RIC in combination with recanalization therapies appears to add no clinical benefit to patients, but whether it is beneficial to those that are not candidates for recanalization therapies is still to be demonstrated.
