Clinical Characteristics of Pediatric Patients with Congenital Erythrocytosis: A Single-Center Study
AbstractAlthough congenital erythrocytosis (CE), an inherited disorder, impairs pediatric quality of life, physicians often overlook high hemoglobin (Hgb) levels and its symptoms due to lack of knowledge of age-adjusted pediatric Hgb levels and CE ’s rarity. In a retrospective, single-center study, data from hospital records of pediatric patients diagnosed with CE were evaluated. Twenty-six patients from 25 families (80.8% male) had been diagnosed with CE in 20 years, at a mean age of 14.9 ± 2.8 years (8.3–17.8) and with a mean Hgb level of 17.36 ± 1.44 g/dL (14.63–22.1). ConclusionThe Pipeline embolization device is a novel technique that can be utilized for treatment of giant cerebrovascular aneurysms with emerging evidence of immediate and long-term success. Case report: Dueling etiologies: Longitudinally extensive spinal cord lesion mimicking spinal cord infarct with simultaneous positive Lyme serology and amphiphysin antibody
ConclusionWe describe an unusual steroid-responsive, longitudinally extensive spinal cord lesion with radiological features of spinal cord infarct and a simultaneous finding of intrathecal Lyme antibodies and serum amphiphysin antibodies.

Avellis syndrome with ipsilateral prosopalgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, and central post-stroke pain: A case report and literature review
We reported a case of Avellis syndrome who manifested as the typical reported manifestations. The patient, what’s more, presented with ipsilateral trigeminal, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, and central poststroke pain which were described for the first time. It is of great significance for clinicians to recognize the typical as well as other manifestations which helps to make a clear diagnosis.

A rare cause of abdominal pain managed unconventionally: acute renal infarction caused by atrial fibrillation: a case report
ConclusionsAcute renal infarction from thromboembolism is a rare but serious complication of arterial fibrillation. More efficient and different options for intervention methods will benefit the treatment of this disease. Here, we report a combination therapeutic method that has not been used in acute renal infarction associated with arterial fibrillation, and which restored renal perfusion and prevented long-term kidney injury.
