Exercise medicine and physical activity promotion: core curricula for US medical schools, residencies and sports medicine fellowships: developed by the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and endorsed by the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine
Br J Sports Med. 2022 Jan 10:bjsports-2021-104819. doi: 10.1136/bjsports-2021-104819. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTRegular physical activity provides a variety of health benefits and is proven to treat and prevent several non-communicable diseases. Specifically, physical activity enhances muscular and osseous strength, improves cardiorespiratory fitness, and reduces the risk of hypertension, coronary heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, mental health disorders, cognitive decline and several cancers. Despite these well-known benefits, physical activity promotion in clinical practice is underused due to insufficient trai...

Ensemble-AHTPpred: A Robust Ensemble Machine Learning Model Integrated With a New Composite Feature for Identifying Antihypertensive Peptides
Hypertension or elevated blood pressure is a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risks of cardiovascular disease, heart disease, diabetes, stroke, kidney disease, and other health problems, that affect people worldwide. Thus, hypertension is one of the major global causes of premature death. Regarding the prevention and treatment of hypertension with no or few side effects, antihypertensive peptides (AHTPs) obtained from natural sources might be useful as nutraceuticals. Therefore, the search for alternative/novel AHTPs in food or natural sources has received much attention, as AHTPs may be functiona...

Efficacy Analysis of Team-Based Nursing Compliance in Young and Middle-Aged Diabetes Mellitus Patients Based on Random Forest Algorithm and Logistic Regression
CONCLUSION: The team-based nursing model has a good effect on the blood glucose control level of middle-aged and young diabetic patients. Age, BMI, and glucose values are risk factors for diabetes. The SF algorithm has a good effect on predicting the risk of diabetes, which is worthy of further clinical application.PMID:35936376 | PMC:PMC9355774 | DOI:10.1155/2022/3882425

Menopause and weight gain
Many women approaching the menopause will experience a number of symptoms, including vaginal dryness, hot flushes and a lack of sex drive. However another symptom that may arise as a result of the menopause is weight gain.
