Extent of mural thrombus is not associated with increased 5-year mortality following elective AAA repair
CONCLUSIONS: In our experience, the extent of mural thrombus in AAA does not influence long-term survival after elective repair. AAA repair may provide protection against circulating components of mural thrombus which have the potential to promote atherosclerotic-related adverse events. Relationship of diabetes, heart failure, and N ‐terminal pro‐B‐type natriuretic peptide with cardiovascular outcomes in patients with atrial fibrillation
ConclusionsDiabetes and HF were independently associated with an increased risk of CV death/HHF in an unselected AF patient population, and NT-proBNP improved risk assessment. These findings suggest that AF patients with diabetes and/or HF should be managed not only for their risk of stroke and systemic embolic events but also for CV death/HHF.

Direct Comparison of Outcomes After Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement in Veterans and Non-Veterans Using the Transcatheter Valve Therapy Registry
CONCLUSIONS: The affiliation between a VAMC and an academic medical center allowed for direct comparison between veterans and non-veterans undergoing TAVR by the same operators using the TVT registry. Despite significantly higher rates of comorbidities, veterans had equivalent outcomes compared with non-veterans. This may be in part due to the comprehensive care that veterans receive in the VAMC and this institution's integrated heart center team.PMID:35830359

ConclusionUnderlying ICAD is associated with a 2.7-fold increase in the odds of mortality and a 4.5-fold (1/0.22) increase in unfavorable functional outcome at 90 days in patients with LVO undergoing traditional MT. E-215 Single stent assisted coiling for wide neck bifurcation aneurysms: a multi-center core lab validated analysis demonstrating safety and efficacy
ConclusionThis study represents the first multi-center, core-lab validated data of the safety and efficacy of the L-stenting single stent technique for wide-neck bifurcation aneurysms. Further prospective studies in larger cohorts are necessary to compare the efficacy and safety of this treatment to other endovascular techniques for treatment of wide neck bifurcation aneurysms.Disclosures N.
