ConclusionPatients with pre-stroke moderate disability may benefit from MT if they are appropriately selected. This may result in fewer patients requiring nursing home placement and less financial burden on the public health system, indicating significant savings are possible.

Conclusions EST should be provided directly whenever possible as one in four transferred stroke patients becomes ineligible for EST during transfer. If direct transfer is not possible, indication for EST should be re-assessed after transfer.

ConclusionDichotomizing the mRS into favorable and unfavorable outcome does not do justice to the full spectrum of stroke. Patients with formal unfavorable outcome after mRS can improve neurologically, achieve treatment goals, and even regain their admission or pre-stroke mRS.

Stent-based thrombectomy versus intravenous tissue plasminogen activator in acute ischaemic stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: Stentrievers can achieve a high rate of recanalisation and functional independence in acute ischaemic stroke and have a relatively good safety profile. First-line lesional aspiration in acute stroke thrombectomy using a novel intermediate catheter: Initial experiences with the SOFIA.
CONCLUSIONS: Lesional aspiration with SOFIA is in line with published data. The SOFIA may be used as a first-line device, aiming at fast recanalization by sole aspiration with good safety and efficacy. Mechanical Thrombectomy in Acute Ischemic Stroke Using a  Manually Expandable Stent Retriever (Tigertriever) : Preliminary Single Center Experience.
CONCLUSION: The Tigertriever offers a safe and effective treatment option in ischemic stroke due to LVOs with reperfusion rates and a safety profile similar to alternative devices. Acute Stroke and Obstruction of the Extracranial Carotid Artery Combined with Intracranial Tandem Occlusion: Results of Interventional Revascularization
Conclusion Endovascular recanalization of acute cervical carotid artery occlusion was technically feasible in all patients, and resulted in high extra- and intracranial revascularization rates. A trend for favorable clinical outcome was seen in a higher TICI score, younger age, good collateral status, and combined IV rTPA and endovascular therapy.

Efficacy of ADAPT with large-bore reperfusion catheter in anterior circulation acute ischemic stroke: a multicentric Italian experience
ConclusionsADAPT is a valid technique with respect to the rates of TICI 2b/3 recanalization and 90-day mRS scores. In this series, an attempt at recanalization with ADAPT with larger-bore reperfusion catheter may be warranted prior to stentriever thrombectomy.

Use of intracranial stent as rescue therapy after mechanical thrombectomy failure —9-year experience in a comprehensive stroke centre
ConclusionPlacement of an intracranial stent as rescue therapy after MT failure was associated with better clinical outcome without significant increase in haemorrhagic complications. We believe that this procedure should be appraised in these patients.
