Relationship between upper limb function and functional neural connectivity among motor related-areas during recovery stage after stroke.
Conclusions: The FCs recorded at rest, as well as during the finger motor task, by the five electrodes placed on motor-related areas could be used to predict the motor function and recovery of the upper limb affected by stroke. The results indicate the possibility of using FCs recorded by conventional EEG with electrodes as biomarkers to predict motor recovery after stroke. PMID: 31535592 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Oral health in patients with stroke: a meta-analysis of comparative studies.
Conclusions: Stroke patients had poorer overall oral health status compared to controls. Reference value of 6-minute walk distance in patients with sub-acute stroke.

Effects of dynamic lycra orthosis as an adjunct to rehabilitation after botulinum toxin-A injection of the upper-limb in adults following stroke: A single-blinded randomized controlled pilot study.

Perceived social support and social constraints in Hausa women stroke survivors: A cross-sectional study.
Conclusion: Findings of this study suggest that adequate social support potentially limits the level of social constraint encountered by women who suffered stroke. The Hausa culture seems to be impressive in characteristically demonstrating high level of social support as found in this study. It is recommended that physiotherapist should assist by providing educative programs that would increase caregiver's knowledge of social support and how to develop it and cultural values that emphasize positive social interaction should be encouraged. A scoping review of psychoeducational interventions for people after transient ischemic attack and minor stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: Definitions of stroke severity are not adequately reported. There are a variety of interventions including education about a range of stroke-specific topics. Many interventions are not adequately described, thus making it difficult to determine if the aim was to provide information or support post-TIA/minor stroke. Dynamic hand orthoses for the recovery of hand and arm function in adults after stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials.
