Lifestyle-related habits and factors before and after cardiovascular diagnosis: a case control study among 2,548 Swedish individuals
CONCLUSION: The results indicate that a CVD event may increase motivation to improve lifestyle habits. Health literacy is associated with less depression symptoms, higher perceived recovery, higher perceived participation, and walking ability one year after stroke - a cross-sectional study
CONCLUSION: The association between health literacy and mental, physical, and social functioning 12-months post-discharge suggests that health literacy is an important factor to consider in post-stroke rehabilitation. Adult offspring and their socioeconomic resources for development and survival of stroke: A Swedish and Danish nationwide register-based study
CONCLUSIONS: Adult offspring socioeconomic resources are, independently of how we measure them and of individual socioeconomic characteristics, associated with development of stroke in old age in both Denmark and Sweden. The relationships between offspring socioeconomic resources and death after stroke are present especially after the acute phase and most pronounced for educational level as a measure of offspring socioeconomic resources.PMID:36732922 | DOI:10.1177/14034948231152352
