Assistive Technology utilization among stroke survivors in Kano, Northwest Nigeria: a cross-sectional study
This study investigated the prevalence, pattern, and satisfaction with AT utilization in stroke survivors (SS). The study was conducted in two hospitals in Kano, Nigeria. The QUBEC user evaluation of satisfaction with AT (QUEST) questionnaire and the Rivermead Mobility Index were used to assess satisfaction with AT utilization and mobility, respectively. Prevalence and trends of adult overweight and obesity in Nigeria & #8212; A systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion: The prevalence of obesity and overweight in Nigeria is high with a rising trend over the years. A Nigerian national health survey of non-communicable diseases especially the burden of overweight/obesity is recommended to through more light on the subject. Is it possible to predict the outcome of endovascular thrombectomy for hyperdense middle cerebral artery sign at the time of first admission ?
Conclusion: We showed that the presence of HMCAS in initial CT was not helpful in predicting good clinical outcomes in patients undergoing endovascular therapy patients. However, the presence of HMCAS is related to more new territory embolism during the procedure. Different endovascular strategies may be applied to these patients.
