Association of vaspin gene expression and its serum level on the risk of ischemic stroke in type 2 diabetic Egyptian patients: Prospective case ‐control study
In conclusion, the higher levels of serum vaspin and vaspin expression levels in T2DM emphasizes the pivotal role of vaspin serum level and expression in the progression of metabolic and glucose abnormalities, thus, they could be used as biomarkers of IS.

Budget impact analysis for dapagliflozin in type 2 diabetes in Egypt.
Conclusion: Treating T2DM patients using dapagliflozin instead of conventional medications, maximizes patient's benefits and decreases total costs due to drug cost offsets from fewer cardiovascular and renal events. The adoption of dapagliflozin is a budget-saving treatment option, resulting in substantial population-level health gains due to reduced event rate and cost savings from the perspective of the national healthcare system. XANTUS-EL: A real-world, prospective, observational study of patients treated with rivaroxaban for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation in Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America
ConclusionsXANTUS-EL confirmed low stroke and major bleeding rates in patients with NVAF from EEMEA and Latin America. The population was younger but with more heart failure and hypertension than XANTUS; stroke/SE rate was similar but major bleeding lower.

Short term outcome of patients with hyperglycemia and acute stroke
ConclusionsHyperglycemia is associated with poor outcomes after acute stroke. History of HTN, admission glucose level ≥ 223 mg/dL and NIHSS ≥ 10 were predictors of worse stroke outcome.
