Estimating the Prevalence, Clinical Characteristics, and Treatment Patterns of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in Japan: A Nationwide Medical Claims Database Study
CONCLUSIONS: This study provides important information on the current epidemiological and clinical characteristics of HCM in Japan.PMID:36208832 | DOI:10.1016/j.jjcc.2022.09.015

Evaluation of newly-developed modified diluted prothrombin time reagent in non-valvular atrial fibrillation patients with direct oral anticoagulants: A comparative study with conventional reagents
CONCLUSION: Compared with other PT and dPT reagents, mdPT reagent showed sharper slope to all direct FXa inhibitors, and higher correlation to apixaban and comparable correlation to edoxaban and rivaroxaban. This new reagent is expected to be a coagulation screening assay having a consistently high response to any types of direct FXa inhibitors.PMID:36114152 | DOI:10.1111/ijlh.13971

Clinical characteristics and outcomes of Japanese atrial fibrillation patients with poor medication adherence: A sub-analysis of the GENERAL study
CONCLUSIONS: Poor anticoagulant adherence, as measured by PDC <80 %, was associated with higher incidence of stroke or systemic embolism and major bleeding in the GENERAL study.PMID:35985869 | DOI:10.1016/j.jjcc.2022.07.022

Effect of Polypharmacy on Clinical Outcomes in Elderly Patients With Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation - A Sub-Analysis of the ANAFIE Registry
CONCLUSIONS: Polypharmacy was frequent among elderly patients with NVAF who were older with more comorbidities, and was independently associated with a higher incidence of extracranial events.PMID:35858804 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-22-0170

Association of Concomitant Coronary Artery Disease With Cardiovascular Events in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation - The Fushimi AF Registry
CONCLUSIONS: In Japanese AF patients, concomitant CAD was associated with higher prevalences of major co-morbidities and higher incidences of cardiovascular events; however, history of CAD was not associated with the incidence of stroke/SE.PMID:35786691 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-22-0180
