Periprocedural cerebrovascular complications and 30-day outcomes of endovascular treatment for intracranial vertebral artery dissecting aneurysms
CONCLUSIONS: Hyperlipidemia, IS history, and SAH were independent predictors for overall periprocedural cerebrovascular complications of endovascular treatment for IVADAs, but aneurysmal height was an independent protective factor. SAH and preprocedural mRS score > 2 were independent risk factors for perforator occlusion stroke. Preprocedural mRS score > 2 and periprocedural complications were independent risk factors for 30-day unfavorable clinical outcomes.PMID:36401540 | DOI:10.3171/2022.10.JNS221953

ConclusionsAlthough deep venous involvement of CVT is uncommon, these patients are at risk of quickly becoming critically ill with an elevated rate of death or dependency. Although these patients may develop stroke, hemorrhage, or neurologic decline prompting consideration of endovascular therapy, the deep cerebral venous system is not easily accessible with catheters due to small lumens and risk of perforation. E-006 U.S. health care system-wide transition from alteplase to tenecteplase before mechanical thrombectomy: functional outcomes, early reperfusion rates, intracranial bleeding and femoral access site complications
ConclusionsThe first-year experience demonstrates the effectiveness and safety of the transitioning from TPA to TNK. The higher early recanalization rates with TNK are striking.
