E-105 Analysis of clinical associations of serum SCFAs taken at the time of thrombectomy in AIS patients
ConclusionsThe evaluation of SCFAs in the serum at the time of stroke provides novel insight into the potential role of SCFAs during stroke in human patients. Age remains a significant factor to SCFA concentrations in stroke patients. The length of time following stroke also contributes to the levels of SCFAs. Previous studies have shown that increased levels of SCFAs is associated with decreased severity of stroke, however our data did not detect any such effect. This observation may be due to the acute time of the blood collection following stroke and analyzing serum instead of fecal samples. Furthermore, acquiring infor...

P-052 A novel ex-vivo model to simulate delayed aneurysm rupture after flow-diverter treatment
ConclusionFurther analysis of the tissue samples is underway, in an attempt to quantify the MMP concentration and its correlation to reduced modulus. This study will hopefully lead to the identification of an MMP dose and digestion regimen that can create a reliable benchtop DAR model. A benchtop DAR model would allow for the assessment of new aneurysm treatment options, and the development of new treatment devices for reducing DAR in patients with GIAs.Disclosures H. E-004 Focal intracranial vasculopathy as a manifestation of COVID-19-associated acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionTo our knowledge, our case is the first to illustrate the potential for COVID-19 infection to present as a focal intracranial vasculopathy in an otherwise healthy young-patient, resulting in acute ischemic stroke without an underlying hypercoagulable state. Rescue intracranial stenting was necessary to maintain vessel patency and restore intracranial flow.Disclosures A. Mahapatra: None. A. Witek: None. G. Toth: None.

E-043 Assessing safety of femoral arterial sheath removal in under 24 hours post-intravascular thrombolysis in stroke patients who undergo mechanical thrombectomy
ConclusionSimilar rates of complications were discovered in both groups of patients, without any significant increase in those whose FAS was removed within 24 hours of tPA administration. Further evaluation should be considered to assess the safety of FAS removal in these patients.Disclosures M. Cohen: None. A. Garg: None.

E-073 Clot bank collaborative registry protocol: Novel method for evaluating ischemic thrombus
ConclusionWe have developed a novel tissue banking protocol to preserve microbiota from arterial thrombi retrieved from ischemic stroke patients. While there is no consensus which class of pathogens is implicated in the susceptibility to stroke, multiple studies including our own, have shown bacterial fragments and communities in cerebral thrombi. The specimens captured during standard-of-care thrombectomy allow us to characterize and functionally define the microbiota associated with cerebral thrombi in ischemic stroke patients.Disclosures M. E-095 The embotrap stent retriever for treatment of acute ischemic stroke: Impact of hospital procedural volume on real world outcomes
ConclusionsHospital MT volume significantly influenced the rate of readmissions among AIS patients treated with the EmboTrap® (alone or with another MT device) device. The lack of difference in mortality may also be reflective of limited statistical power to detect differences in study groups. Further research to understand the impact of hospital MT volume on patient outcomes, as well as identify the threshold volume that optimizes positive outcomes, could help inform future stroke care guidelines and contribute to improved treatment protocols in low-volume centers.Disclosures S. Successful recanalization in acute basilar artery occlusion treated with endovascular therapy is independent of thrombus length
Conclusions Successful recanalization does not depend on thrombus length in patients with BAO treated with EVT. Recanalization can therefore be achieved despite high clot burden. Additionally, a high density of thrombi was a strong predictor of a favorable outcome.
