O-012 Relationship between clot composition and procedural results for ischemic stroke aspiration thrombectomy: subset analysis from the INSIGHT registry
ConclusionsClot removed during neuroendovascular procedures can differ in consistency and removability, leading to an increased focus on thrombus composition as a crucial variable for improving outcomes of ischemic stroke. In this study, good final revascularization (mTICI 2b-3 at the final angiogram) occurred after aspiration thrombectomy regardless of clot composition. Improving prediction of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusive stroke
ConclusionsAcute endovascular treatment is the single most important factor promoting recanalization in acute ischemic stroke. The presence of extracranial vessel stenosis or occlusion decreases recanalization rates. In patients with intracranial occlusions, higher NIHSS score and ASPECTS and normal vigilance facilitate recanalization. Clinical use of these predictors could influence recanalization strategies in individual patients.

Combined thrombolysis in posterior circulation stroke caused by bilateral vertebral artery dissection in squash player.
CONCLUSIONS: Vertebral artery dissection should be taken into consideration in differential diagnosis of posterior circulation stroke or TIA in young patients with a history of even as subtle precipitating events as forceful head movements. Combined thrombolytic therapy may provide safe and effective treatment of stroke-complicated cases. This case report shows that expanded diagnostic protocol for acute ischemic stroke, including computed tomography perfusion study and angiography of cervical and cranial vessels, assures rapid and correct diagnosis. Facing the Time Window in Acute Ischemic Stroke: The Infarct Core
Conclusion We found no significant time dependency of the viability of brain tissue with embolic carotid T or M1 occlusions between 1 and 6 h after stroke onset. The early infarction volume is thus probably determined in the hyperacute phase by the quality of leptomeningeal collaterals and comparatively stable in this time period.

E-004 Factors Associated with Successful Revascularization using the Aspiration Component of ADAPT in the Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionsAspiration success was associated with younger age. There was a trend for aspiration failure to be associated with cardiogenic etiology and more difficult vascular anatomy. Our findings suggest that the ADAPT technique can be used for the vast majority of patients but it may be beneficial to use a SR primarily when performing thrombectomy in the elderly. Atrial Fibrillation and Resistant Stroke: Does Left Atrial Appendage Morphology Matter? A Case Report
Conclusion: The systematic study of LAA in patients with resistant-stroke could help to identify LAA malignant morphology. The efficacy on stroke recurrence of the combined therapy (anticoagulants plus LAAO) is worthy to be tested in randomized trials.
