Effect of clopidogrel in bone healing-experimental study in rabbits.
CONCLUSION: Our results indicate that maintenance of perioperative clopidogrel treatment does not negatively affect bone healing but rather promotes it. Further research is needed in order to find useful applications of this finding. PMID: 31908992 [PubMed]

Impact of Clot Shape on Successful M1 Endovascular Reperfusion
Conclusion: Clot shape as determined on T2* imaging, in patients presenting with M1 occlusion appears to be a predictor of successful reperfusion after MT. Angulated and bifurcating clots are associated with poorer rates of successful reperfusion.

Clot Meniscus Sign Is Associated With Thrombus Permeability and Choice of Mechanical Thrombectomy Technique in Acute Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion
ConclusionPatients with MCAO with positive meniscus sign have higher thrombus permeability and are more suitable for CA to acquire better clinical outcomes.

Safety of early posterior fusion surgery without endovascular embolization for asymptomatic vertebral artery occlusion associated with cervical spine trauma
ConclusionDespite the lack of a concurrent control group with preoperative antiplatelet therapy or endovascular embolization for VAO, our results showed low symptomatic stroke rate (4.5%), high recanalization rate (40.9%), and low mortality rate (0%). Therefore, we believe that the indication for early stabilization surgery as management strategy of asymptomatic VAO might be one of the safe and effective treatment options for prevention of symptomatic cerebral infarction.

O-052 The pennsylvania post-market multicenter experience with flow re-direction endoluminal device (FRED)
ConclusionThe results of the early post-market experience with the FRED device show reasonable safety and adequate aneurysmal occlusion rates comparable to other flow diverters. However, more extensive multicenter studies with more extended follow-up data are needed to assess the long-term safety and durability of the device.Abstract O-052 Table 1Baseline descriptive statistics Number of patients n=61 Gender Male 11 (18%) Female 50 (82%) Age (Years: median; IQR) 58 (51 – 68) Multiple Intracranial Aneurysms 21 (34.4%) Family history of aneurysms 9 (14.8%) Smoking History Never smokers 26 (42.6%) Past smokers 13 (21.3...

P-019 Comparative effectiveness of stent-assisted coiling and woven endobridge (WEB) embolization for the treatment of unruptured wide-neck bifurcation intracranial aneurysms
ConclusionMid-term complete and adequate occlusion rates were similar between patients treated with WEB and SAC. Given the comparable outcomes, there may be equipoise in treatment options for WNBAs.Abstract P-019 Table 1Baseline patient and aneurysm morphology parameters between treatment groups Aneurysm parameters* WEB (n=27) Stent-coil (n=54) p-value Age 63 (50–69) 65 (57–69) 0.511 Gender, male 6 (22%) 12 (22%) 1.000 Smoking Status Current smoker 9 (33%) 9 (17%) 0.235 Prior Smoker 9 (33%) 22 (41%) Never Smoker 9 (33%) 23 (43%) Location Acomm 9 (33%) 20 (37%) 0.772 Basilar apex 6 (22%) 17 (32%) Carotid termin...

E-187 Pipeline embolization stent for treatment of giant supraclinoid aneurysms: a case series
ConclusionThe Pipeline embolization device is a novel technique that can be utilized for treatment of giant cerebrovascular aneurysms with emerging evidence of immediate and long-term success. Further patient enrollment and clinical trials will be required to assess its efficacy in comparison to other endovascular and surgical approaches for the treatment of giant aneurysms.Disclosures M. Traumatic posterior cerebral artery dissection and dissecting aneurysms: A systematic review with an illustrative case report
CONCLUSIONS: tPCA dissection is diagnosed late and commonly affects the young population. The clinical outcome for this condition is typically favorable. Current endovascular techniques showed considerable efficacy and safety.PMID:36883231 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231162487
