Case Report: Late Successful Thrombectomy for Ischemic Stroke in a 2-Year-Old Child
We describe hereafter the case of a 2-year-old female child who had a successful thrombectomy 9 h after stroke onset. The patient presented with right hemiplegia, central facial palsy, a normal level of consciousness, and speech difficulties. The PedNIHS score was 11. CT scan without contrast injection displayed spontaneous hyperdensity of the middle cerebral artery (MCA), with only limited early signs of ischemia (ASPECTS 8). Associations of Anemia With Outcomes in Patients With Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage: A Meta-Analysis

Aspiration thrombectomy in clinical routine interventional stroke treatment
ConclusionWhen used as a  first pass attempt AST is a fast and safe approach for patients suffering from stroke due to ELVO. Nonetheless, early conversion to SRT is needed in most cases and leads to overall excellent procedural results with low complication rates.

Intra-Arterial Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke Under General Anesthesia versus Monitored Anesthesia Care
Conclusion: Our study has confirmed previous findings of GA being associated with poorer outcomes and higher mortality in patients undergoing IAT for AIS. Detailed analysis of intra-procedural hemodynamics did not reveal any significant difference between the two groups. The THRIVE score strongly predicts outcomes in patients treated with the Solitaire device in the SWIFT and STAR trials
ConclusionsThe THRIVE score strongly predicts clinical outcome and mortality in patients treated with the Solitaire device in the SWIFT and STAR trials. The lack of interaction between THRIVE and procedure‐specific elements such as vessel recanalization or device choice makes the THRIVE score a reasonable candidate for use as a patient selection criterion in stroke clinical trials.
