Angiographic outcome of intracranial aneurysms with neck remnant following coil embolization
Conclusions The angiographic outcome of aneurysms with neck remnant following coil embolization is similar to that of completely occluded aneurysms in that most remain stable and few recanalize. This understanding could potentially help the interventional neurosurgeon avoid complications such as coil herniation, vessel compromise, and stroke in selected cases. Further investigation with a larger patient population is warranted.

Posterior circulation flow diversion: a single-center experience and literature review
Conclusions Flow diversion may be a possible treatment in carefully selected patients with high-risk atypical posterior circulation aneurysms, with poor natural history and no optimal treatment strategy. Symptomatic and fusiform large aneurysms appear to carry the highest risk. Further studies are necessary to assess the role of flow diversion in the posterior circulation.

E-003 delayed reocclusion of recanalized intracranial arteries after mechanical thrombectomy in acute stroke patients
ConclusionsWe reviewed these patients and found that delayed reocclusion of recanalized vessels were noted within 24 h after first mechanical thrombectomy. The factors contributed to these results are assumed as TICI grade before and after the first mechanical thrombectomy. But, further evaluation of factors such as NIHSS score, underlying disease, laboratory findings and follow-up angiogram are needed. Also, procedural complications as vasospasm, dissection and hemorrhage should be investigated.DisclosuresK. Jang: None. S. Park: None. D. Jang: None. B. Moon: None. Y. Han: None. Y. Park: None.

Flow diverter stents for unruptured saccular anterior circulation perforating artery aneurysms: safety, efficacy, and short-term follow-up
Conclusions Our preliminary results show that flow diversion technology is an effective and safe therapy for complex, hard-to-treat aneurysms in perforating arteries. Larger studies with long-term follow-up are needed to validate our promising results.

Endovascular revascularization results in IMS III: intracranial ICA and M1 occlusions
Conclusions Good clinical outcome was associated with good reperfusion for ICA and M1 occlusion. No significant differences in efficacy or safety among revascularization methods were demonstrated after adjustment. Lack of high-quality reperfusion, adverse events, and prolonged time to treatment contributed to lower-than-expected mRS 0–2 outcomes and study futility compared with IV rt-PA. Trial registration number NCT00359424.

Utilization of Pipeline embolization device for treatment of ruptured intracranial aneurysms: US multicenter experience
Conclusions The PED can be utilized for ruptured aneurysms and is a good option for blister-type aneurysms. However, due to periprocedural complications, it should be reserved for lesions that are difficult to treat by conventional clipping or coiling.

Management of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage: a national survey of current practice
Conclusions At 6 months following publication of the NCEPOD report we found that in the majority of neurosurgical units, most of the key recommendations were being met. However, in the remainder there was variability in clinical practice.

Y-stent assisted coiling of bifurcation aneurysms with Enterprise stent: long-term follow-up
Conclusions Y-stent assisted coiling has a high immediate occlusion rate and very good long-term stability. The procedure is relatively safe, although the complication and mortality rates are not negligible. Two Enterprise stents can be safely used for Y-stenting and, indeed, offer the advantage of easier catheterization, delivery and deployment into distal and tortuous vessels than open cell stents.

Critical assessment of the morbidity associated with ruptured cerebral arteriovenous malformations
Conclusions Our assessment of morbidity associated with brain AVM rupture is higher than previously assumed and reported. These results should be further validated in a larger, more representative sample. An accurate understanding of the morbidity associated with AVM rupture is important as more patients with unruptured brain AVMs seek consultation.

Bioactive versus bare platinum coils for the endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms: systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials
Conclusions Bioactive coils ensure a higher rate of medium-term complete aneurysm occlusion while reducing the rate of residual neck aneurysms compared with bare coiling in the mid-term. Hydrogel coils reduce residual aneurysms compared with bare coils. While there is level 1a evidence to show more complete aneurysm occlusion, longer term follow-up is needed to determine if this translates into clinical significance.
