Clinical introduction A woman in her 60s with history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hypothyroidism presented to the emergency department after being found confused, non-verbal and with low urine output in a nursing home. Her last known well was around 6 o’clock in the morning before presentation. A comparison in women with newly diagnosed diabetes between those with and without a history of gestational diabetes: a new perspective
ConclusionsWomen with previous GDM were a decade younger and had lower prevalence of hypertension at diagnosis of diabetes; C-peptide levels were associated with BMI, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia and showed a tendency to be lower, possibly indicating a phenotype with higher  risk of overt cardiovascular disease later in life.

JAK2 V617F Mutation and Large Cerebral Artery Disease in Patients with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms
CONCLUSIONS: This study revealed a significant association between the JAK2 V617F mutation and LCAD in patients with MPNs.
