Effect of Capsaicin Atomization on Cough and Swallowing Function in Patients With Hemorrhagic Stroke: A Randomized Controlled Trial
CONCLUSIONS: Capsaicin nebulization can help enhance the number of coughs in response to capsaicin, reduce postswallow residue, and increase the level of SP in patients with hemorrhagic stroke and has a positive effect on pulmonary inflammation. Effects of mechanical inspiration and expiration exercise on velopharyngeal incompetence in subacute stroke patients.
CONCLUSION: Mechanical inspiration and expiration exercise had a therapeutic effect on velopharyngeal incompetence in subacute stroke patients with dysphagia. This therapy is easy to provide clinically and could be a useful therapeutic strategy for velo-pharyngeal incompetence with dysphagia in patients with stroke.
