Oculoplastic Surgeries in Patients Older than 90 Years of Age
CONCLUSION: In our experience, oculoplastic surgeries among the elderly population are safe without significant complications and can usually be performed under local anesthesia. Perioperative outcomes of goal-directed versus conventional fluid therapy in radical cystectomy with enhanced recovery protocol
ConclusionStroke volume variation guided goal-directed fluid therapy is safe in radical cystectomy without compromising the renal function. It is associated with less intra- and perioperative fluid infusion; however, no association with hospital stay, 90-day complication or readmission rates were noted.

Brachytherapy of tongue carcinoma in a patient with difficult airway: anesthetic considerations.
We report a 74-year-old chronic smoker, chronic alcoholic with history of stroke, who had undergone brachytherapy for tongue carcinoma. Apart from a huge tongue tumor, he had an epiglottic mass but refused elective tracheostomy. This had led to a few critical states throughout the process of treatment, including a metabolic crisis due to thiamine deficiency and difficult airway crisis. To our best knowledge, there have been no reported case on a patient with vocal cord mass undergoing tongue brachytherapy. Cerebral air embolism during CT-guided lung biopsy
A patient with cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma, on the waiting list for liver transplantation, presented with lung nodule during initial evaluation. A CT-guided core needle lung biopsy under general anaesthesia was performed. Pneumothorax (figure 1) and a large amount of gas within the left ventricle (figure 2) were identified during the procedure. Conclusions Despite a similar precision, ODM and PCA were not interchangeable with regard to measuring SV changes within a goal-directed haemodynamic algorithm. A decrease in interchangeability coincided with increasing NE levels and greater changes of MAP to a fluid challenge.
