Synchronous multimode ultrasound for assessing right-to-left shunt: a prospective clinical study
ConclusionSynchronous multimodal ultrasound significantly improves the detection rate and test efficiency, quantifies RLS more accurately, and reduces testing risks and medical costs. We conclude that synchronous multimodal ultrasound has significant potential for clinical applications.

Evaluation of fMRI activation in post-stroke patients with movement disorders after repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation: a scoping review
ConclusionrTMS allows the excitation and synchronization of neural activity, promotes the reorganization of brain function, and achieves the motor function recovery. fMRI can observe the influence of rTMS on brain networks and reveal the neuroplasticity mechanism of post-stroke rehabilitation. The scoping review helps us to put forward a series of recommendations that might guide future researchers exploring the effect of motor stroke treatments on brain connectivity.

Rescue therapy after thrombectomy for large vessel occlusion due to underlying atherosclerosis: review of literature
In this review article, we summarized the current advances in rescue management for reperfusion therapy of acute ischemic stroke from large vessel occlusion due to underlying intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis (ICAS). It is estimated that 24–47% of patients with acute vertebrobasilar artery occlusion have underlying ICAS and superimposed in situ thrombosis. Over- and under-supply of inpatient rehabilitation after stroke without a post-acute rehabilitation system: a nationwide retrospective cohort study
ConclusionBefore the introduction of the post-acute rehabilitation system, treatment after stroke was both over- and under-supplied, thus delaying home discharge. ConclusionThe utilization of a stroke nurse navigator team reduced unplanned 30-day readmissions in stroke patients treated with thrombolysis. Further studies are warranted to determine the extent of the results of stroke patients not treated with thrombolysis and to better understand the relationship between resource utilization during the transition period from discharge and quality outcomes in stroke.

Walking performance of persons with chronic stroke changed when looking down but not in dimly lit environment
ConclusionHealthy adults did not change their gait patterns under the different walking conditions. Persons with chronic stroke walked more cautiously but not more symmetrically when looking down at the feet, but not in dimly lit environment. Ambulatory persons with stroke may need to be advised that looking down at the feet while walking could be more challenging.

Machine learning prediction of motor function in chronic stroke patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionML can be used as an assessment tool for predicting the motor function in patients with 3–6 months of post-stroke. Additionally, the study found that ML models with radiomics as a predictive variable were also demonstrated to have good predictive capabilities. Stroke severity mediates the effect of socioeconomic disadvantage on poor outcomes among patients with intracerebral hemorrhage
ConclusionCSVD contributed to poor functional outcome independent of socioeconomic deprivation, while stroke severity mediated the effects of deprivation. Improving awareness and trust among disadvantaged communities may reduce admission stroke severity and improve outcomes.

Qualitative electroencephalogram and its predictors in the diagnosis of stroke
ConclusionThe type of stroke and imaging characteristics are associated with EEG abnormalities. Predictors of focal EEG slowing are NIHSS score and anterior circulation stroke. The study emphasized that EEG is a simple yet feasible investigational tool, and further plans for advancing stroke evaluation should consider the inclusion of this functional modality.
