Disentangling the Psycholinguistic Loci of Anomia with Cognitive Psychometric Models
This article reviews advanced statistical techniques for measuring impairments in object naming, particularly in the context of stroke-induced aphasia. Traditional testing strategies can be challenged by the multifaceted nature of impairments that arise due to the complex relationships between localized brain damage and disruption to the cognitive processes required for successful object naming. A journey through clinic and research
I started to study Medicine at the University of Genoa, Italy more than 20 years ago and I now realize that I was quite far from understanding what ‘Medicine’ really means. After weeks and weeks spent on books during the first year, I understood that becoming a MD not only requires the willingness to help people with health problems, but also strong motivation and dedication to learn a huge amount of notions. Benchmarking network-based gene prioritization methods for cerebral small vessel disease
In conclusion, RWRH has overall better performance for application in cSVD despite its susceptibility to bias caused by degree centrality. Choice of algorithms should be determined before applying to specific disease. Current pure network-based gene prioritization algorithms are unlikely to find novel disease-associated genes that are not associated with known ones.
