The disappearance of respiratory syncytial virus and influenza viruses in children during the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic - are non-pharmaceutical interventions as effective as vaccines?
CONCLUSIONS: Influenza and RSV viruses disappeared during the pandemic period and rhinovirus was the second most common virus after the CoVs during and after the restriction period. Non-pharmaceutical interventions should be established as a precaution to prevent infectious diseases even after the pandemic.PMID:37140326 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202304_32178

Trends in Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and vaccine antibody prevalence in a multi-ethnic inner-city antenatal population: A cross-sectional surveillance study
CONCLUSIONS: This cross-sectional study demonstrates high rates of asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection with women of black ethnic backgrounds having higher infection risk and lower vaccine uptake. SARS-CoV-2 antibody titres were highest among double-vaccinated, infected women.PMID:37113111 | DOI:10.1111/1471-0528.17508
