Psychometric Evaluation of the Farsi Version of the Surgical Anxiety Questionnaire
CONCLUSIONS: The Farsi version of the surgical anxiety questionnaire has acceptable validity and reliability. The existence of this scale measuring domain-specific anxiety allows for further research in this area.PMID:37665300 | DOI:10.1016/j.jopan.2023.03.003

Effectiveness of Phosphate and Zinc Solubilizing Paenarthrobacter nitroguajacolicus P1 as Halotolerant Rhizobacterium with Growth-Promoting Activity on Pistacia vera L
Curr Microbiol. 2023 Sep 4;80(10):336. doi: 10.1007/s00284-023-03448-0.ABSTRACTPlant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are beneficial microorganisms to develop microbial fertilizers. Biofertilizers can accelerate plant growth and enhance crop yields. The current research aimed to isolate and identify rhizobacterium with plant growth-promoting activity in the rhizospheric region of pistachio trees in arid and salty region of Iran. In the present study, 26 bacterial isolates were isolated from the rhizospheric region of the pistachio trees. Plant growth-promoting characteristics of isolated bacteria, including the abilit...

Assessment of co-infection with BNYVV and BSCTV on resistance against Rhizomania disease in transgenic sugar beet plants
In this study, we assayed the specificity of the induced resistance against BNYVV in two sets of transgenic events, S3 and S6 carrying 5'-UTR with or without CP21-coding sequences, respectively. These events were subjected to viral challenges with either BNYVV, an Iranian isolate of BSCTV (BSCTV-Ir) or both. All the plants inoculated with just BSCTV-Ir displayed curly-leaf symptoms. However, partial resistance was evident in S3 events as shown by mild symptoms and reduced PCR amplification of the BSCTV-Ir coat protein encoding sequence. Based on the presented data, resistance to BNYVV was stable in almost all the transgeni...

Assessment of drought conditions and prediction by machine learning algorithms using Standardized Precipitation Index and Standardized Water-Level Index (case study: Yazd province, Iran)
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Sep 1. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-29522-5. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDrought as a natural phenomenon has always been a serious threat to regions with hot and dry climates. One of the major effects of drought is the drop in groundwater level. This paper focused on the SPI (Standardized Precipitation Index) and SWI (Standardized Water-Level Index) to assess meteorological and hydrological drought, respectively. In the first part, we used different time frames of SPI (3, 6, 12, and 24 months) to investigate drought in Yazd, a dry province in the center of Iran for 29 years (1990-2018). Then, ...

Dietary quality index and the risk of breast cancer: a case-control study
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings indicated that a higher DQI-I score was related to a lower chance of BrCa. According to our research, a healthy diet pattern is crucial for BrCa prevention.PMID:37658410 | DOI:10.1186/s12905-023-02588-6
