Immunoglobulin repertoire restriction characterizes the serological responses of patients with predominantly antibody deficiency
Generation of a diverse antibody repertoire is the prime component of protective immunological memory following infection and vaccination.1 Underpinning antibody repertoire formation is the differentiation of individual B-cell clones into antibody-producing cells, generating distinct antibody clones.2 Failure of the mechanisms leading to protective antibody generation is characteristic of the group of immunodeficiencies termed predominantly antibody deficiencies (PADs).3 These include common variable immune deficiency (CVID) and specific antibody deficiency (SAD), which are the most frequently observed clinically important...

The role of skin tests with polyethylene glycol and polysorbate 80 in the vaccination campaign for COVID-19: results from an Italian multicenter survey
Conclusions. The positivity of skin test with PEG and or PS before vaccination is extremely rare and mostly replaceable by an accurate clinical history. Sensitization to PEG and PS has to be investigated in patients with a previous immediate HR to a Covid-19 vaccine, in particular in patients with anaphylaxis.PMID:36927838 | DOI:10.23822/EurAnnACI.1764-1489.291

The Role of IL-13 and the Type 2 Immune Pathway in COVID-19: A Review
Ann Allergy Asthma Immunol. 2023 Mar 14:S1081-1206(23)00172-2. doi: 10.1016/j.anai.2023.03.009. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTWhile much has been learned about SARS-CoV-2 since December of 2019, uneven global vaccine distribution, rapid viral spread and variant evasion of preventative measures has led to its persistence in the population for the foreseeable future. Additional therapies are needed to support patients through their acute, immune-mediated disease process that continues to lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Data demonstrating the involvement of type 2 immune pathway in acute COVID-19 and post recover...
