Technologies for Type 1 Diabetes and Contact Dermatitis: Therapeutic Tools and Clinical Outcomes in a Cohort of Pediatric Patients
The increasing use of technological devices for the management of diabetes is related to the prolonged exposure of patients’ skin to chemical and mechanical agents and, consequently, to the increased risk of developing dermatological complications. How do we manage asthma? Assessment of knowledge, attitude, and practice patterns among pulmonologists and allergists
Conclusions: The use of diagnostic tools, such as a spirometer, for asthma diagnosis was compatible with the guidelines. While recent updates of the guidelines indicate that salbutamol should not be used solely in mild asthmatics due to its harmful effects in long-term use, it still was the most preferred drug by pulmonologists. Postgraduate education programs are needed to improve compliance with the guidelines.PMID:35068296 | DOI:10.1080/02770903.2022.2033261

D010 captain study: effects of baseline ige levels on triple therapy response in inadequately controlled asthma
CAPTAIN showed that adding umeclidinium (UMEC) to fluticasone furoate/vilanterol (FF/VI) improved lung function and symptom control in uncontrolled asthma; treatment response varied by baseline type-2 inflammatory biomarkers. As IgE may also influence treatment response, we evaluated the impact of adding UMEC and/or increasing FF dose in subgroups defined by baseline IgE levels.
