Development and validation of a work-related risk score for upper-extremity musculoskeletal disorders in a French working population
CONCLUSION: This score can be useful as a first-line risk assessment tool, especially for excluding the low-risk work situations from further intervention by an ergonomist. Further validation studies are needed to determine its performance among various working populations.PMID:37672733 | DOI:10.5271/sjweh.4119

Vaccination acceptability in the French general population and related determinants, 2000-2021
This study describes the evolution of vaccination acceptability and associated determinants in the French general population between 2000 and 2021, and vaccinations with the highest vaccine hesitancy between 2010 and 2021.METHODS: Data were collected from the nine national 'Health Barometer' cross-sectional surveys conducted between 2000 and 2021. These surveys included French-speaking individuals aged 18-75 years old who were selected through randomly generated landline and mobile phone numbers. Participants were asked about their acceptability of vaccination in general and their vaccine hesitancy toward any particular va...

Abomasal RNA-seq reveals a strong local cellular response in suckling lambs with resistance against Haemonchus contortus
In this study, we sequenced the polyadenylated RNA of the abomasal tissue of SI and IF suckling lambs to identify mucosa-specific transcript alterations between breeds artificially infected with H. contortus. Naïve SI (n=4) and IF (n=4) lambs were artificially infected every other day, over a period of 52 days, from 14 to 66 days old, with a total of 5,400 H. contortus infective larvae. Fundic abomasal tissue samples were collected at 68 days old, and submitted to high-throughput RNA sequencing (RNA-seq). Differential expression analysis (P value < 0.001 and False Discovery Rate (FDR) < 0.05) between SI and IF sampl...

Distribution of fungemia agents in five years and antifungal resistance
CONCLUSIONS: In brief, antifungal resistance is more likely to restrict therapeutic options, albeit it is, fortunately, not prevalent in Turkey despite a few recent reports. Yet, a robust detection or management of antifungal resistance requires species-level identification and strict compliance with relevant management guidelines. Besides, challenges in research may be compensated with a national data set built with data from local laboratories.PMID:37667920 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202308_33395

Development and evaluation of the gender-specific CONSTANCES job exposure matrix for physical risk factors in France
CONCLUSION: The constructed JEM validation measures were comparable for men and women for all exposures. Further research will examine the predictive ability of this gender-specific JEM for musculoskeletal disorders and the relevance of gender-stratification in this process, knowing accuracy of each exposure.PMID:37669536 | DOI:10.5271/sjweh.4118
