Efficient Generation of Chondrocytes From Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells in a 3D Culture System: Protocol for a Practical Model for Assessing Anti-Inflammatory Therapies
CONCLUSIONS: Our novel protocol offers an accessible and cost-effective approach for generating chondrocytes from BMSCs and for evaluating potential therapeutic leads in the context of inflammatory chondrocyte-related diseases. Although our approach has several advantages, further investigation is required to address its limitations, such as the potential differences between chondrocytes generated using our protocol and those derived from other established methods, and to refine the model for broader applicability and clinical translation.PMID:37505889 | DOI:10.2196/42964

Research progress on aging mechanism and drugs and the role of stem cells in anti-aging process
Exp Gerontol. 2023 Jun 28:112248. doi: 10.1016/j.exger.2023.112248. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThere have been many discussions on longevity from ancient times to the present day. In the Laozi, it is said, "Heaven and earth are long and enduring because they do not arise from themselves, so they can live forever." In Zhuangzi - Zai You, it is also said, "Keep your mental peace, and your body will be healthy. Don't strain your body and don't consume your spirit to live a long life." It is clear that people attach importance to anti-aging and the desire for longevity. Throughout human history, we have treated aging as an ...

Wnt/ β-catenin Signaling in Lung Cancer: Association with Proliferation, Metastasis, and Therapy Resistance
Curr Cancer Drug Targets. 2023 Apr 13. doi: 10.2174/1568009623666230413094317. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe capacity of cancer cells for abnormal growth and metastasis has made it difficult to find a cure for tumor. Both males and females suffer from lung tumors, and physicians still deem them incurable. The initiation and development of lung tumors can be forced by genomic mutations. Wnt is a critical pathway for regulating growth, differentiation and migration. However, its oncogenic function has been observed in lung cancer. Wnt is able to increase the proliferation of lung tumors. The metastasis potential of lung ...
