Abstract 237: Breastfeeding is Not Associated With Worse Outcomes for Women With Peripartum Cardiomyopathy Session Title: Poster Session II
Conclusions: Contrary to some expert opinions, breastfeeding was not associated with lack of recovery. While larger prospective studies are needed to clarify this conclusion, it appears that a diagnosis of PPCM should not be an absolute contraindication to breastfeeding.

Parity, breastfeeding and risk of coronary heart disease: A pan-European case-cohort study
Conclusion Having more children was associated with a higher risk of CHD later in life, whereas breastfeeding was associated with a lower CHD risk. Women who both had children and breastfed did have a non-significantly higher risk of CHD.

Loss of statin treatment years during pregnancy and breastfeeding periods in women with familial hypercholesterolemia
Women with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) are recommended to initiate statin treatment at the same age as men (from 8 to 10 years of age). However, statins are contraindicated when pregnancy is planned, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The aim of the study was to determine the duration of pregnancy-related off-statin periods and breastfeeding in FH women.

Systematic Search for Present and Potential Portals of Entry for Infective Endocarditis
ConclusionsOur search for the POEs of present IEs was often successful, as was searching for an oral or dental or a gastrointestinal POE of a new IE episode. We advise the systematic performance of stomatologic examinations in patients with IE and performance of colonoscopy in patients ≥50 years of age or at high risk for colorectal cancer.

Google Search Activity and Heart Failure: Analysis of the US Population's Interest in Heart Failure and its Correlation with Heart Failure-Associated Mortality
While evidence-based management of heart failure (HF) has led to improved survival, it has also increased the overall symptom burden. Online health information is popular with many patients, who use search engines in their pursuit of information. Google Trends (GT) is a publicly available online tool for analyzing Google search data. GT has been used to examine the impact of infectious diseases and mental health, but not for cardiovascular disorders [1]. We hypothesized that internet search activity related to HF would mirror its prevalence in the United States and correlate positively with HF associated mortality.

Comparison of the Effect of Combination Therapy with an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker and Either a Low-Dose Diuretic or Calcium Channel Blocker on Cardiac Hypertrophy in Patients with Hypertension.
Abstract Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) regression is an important issue in hypertensive patients. Patients with LVH who had received the angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) treatment for 8 weeks and had not reached the target blood pressure level were enrolled in the study. Patients were assigned to either losartan (50 mg)/hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, 12.5 mg) group or ARB + CCB group (usual dose of ARB and calcium channel blocker, CCB).
