NAFLD increases Risk of Carotid Atherosclerosis and Ischemic Stroke. An Updated Meta-Analysis with 135,602 Individuals
CONCLUSIONS: This meta-analysis shows that a stepwise increment of steatosis of NAFLD can significantly increase the odds of carotid atherosclerosis and stroke development in NAFLD. Botulinum toxin treatment for oropharyngeal dysphagia in patients with stroke
Conclusions & InferencesA single injection of BTX‐A is efficacious for a period of at least 12 months in improving oropharyngeal dysphagia in stroke patients with UES opening dysfunction and some pharyngeal contraction (>25 mmHg).
