The Mitochondrial mitoNEET Ligand NL-1 Is Protective in a Murine Model of Transient Cerebral Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionAs support of our hypothesis, as expected, NL-1 failed to reduce stroke infarct in a permanent photothrombotic occlusion model of stroke. This report demonstrates the potential therapeutic benefits of using mitoNEET ligands like NL-1 as novel mitoceuticals for treating reperfusion-injury with cerebral stroke.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Reduces the Incidence of Chemotherapy-Induced Stroke: A Five-Year Nationwide Population-Based Cohort Study From Taiwan
Conclusion: These Taiwanese data suggest that chemotherapy is a risk factor for stroke and that the use of TCM can significantly mitigate this risk. TCM also appears to reduce the mortality risk associated with chemotherapy.

Clinical Effects of Dual Antiplatelet Therapy or Aspirin Monotherapy after Acute Minor Ischemic Stroke or Transient Ischemic Attack, a Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Among patients with acute minor ischemic stroke or TIA, DAPT, as compared with aspirin monotherapy, might offer better effectiveness in terms of ischemic stroke recurrence at the expense of a higher risk of major bleeding. Stroke patients ’ support: evaluation of knowledge, practices and training needs of French community pharmacists
Conclusion Based on this small study, the fragmented knowledge and varied practices promote the need for further training for pharmacists to optimize support of stroke patients. This study promotes the elaboration of training systems adapted to pharmacists ’ needs. This will help support the development of a targeted pharmaceutical care approach for stroke patients.

Inflammatory Cytokines and Risk of Ischemic Stroke: A Mendelian Randomization Study
Conclusions: Our study suggested that genetically increased IL-4 levels showed a protective effect on the risk of ischemic stroke, which provides important new insights into the potential therapeutic target for preventing ischemic stroke.
