Red meat consumption, incident cardiovascular disease, and the influence of dietary quality in the Jackson Heart Study
CONCLUSIONS: In this cohort of African American adults, total and processed meat were not associated with CVD outcomes, with the exception that unprocessed red meat was related to greater stroke risk. Dietary quality did not modfiy these associations. Research is needed in similar cohorts with longer follow-up and greater meat consumption to replicate these findings.PMID:35733368 | DOI:10.1017/S1368980022001434

Eating habits in the population of the Aeolian Islands: an observational study.
CONCLUSIONS: Study findings show the eating habits and health status of the Aeolian people in an interesting setting of low incidence of cerebrovascular disease. This nutrition regimen has been proved to be protective against cerebrovascular disease. Nutrition is likely to contribute to the low incidence of stroke in this population. Lifestyle Indices and Cardiovascular Disease Risk: A Meta-analysis
ConclusionsAdherence to several healthy lifestyle behaviors simultaneously was associated with a 66% reduced cardiovascular disease risk compared with adopting none or only one behavior. Despite heterogeneity of indices, consistent inverse associations across studies underscore the relevance of adopting healthy behaviors at all. More research on other lifestyle behaviors, such as sleep duration or sedentary behavior in combination, is warranted.

Burden of cardiovascular disease from 1990 to 2017 in Henan Province, China
CONCLUSIONS: The absolute burden of CVDs in Henan is still high, although age-standardized DALYs declined between 1990 and 2017. Effects of reducing processed culinary ingredients and ultra-processed foods in the Brazilian diet: a cardiovascular modelling study.
CONCLUSIONS: Substantial potential exists for reducing the CVD burden through overall improvements of the Brazilian diet. This might require reducing the penetration of ultra-processed foods by means of regulatory policies, as well as improving the access to and promotion of fresh and minimally processed foods.
