Sex hormones, the stool microbiome, and subclinical atherosclerosis in women with and without HIV
CONCLUSION: Serum sex hormones are significant predictors of stool microbiome diversity and composition, likely due in part to metabolic interactions. The gut microbiome may play a role in estrogen-related cardiovascular protection.PMID:37643897 | DOI:10.1210/clinem/dgad510

Value of pelvic ultrasound combined with pituitary MRI in diagnosis of central precocious puberty in girls
CONCLUSIONS: In summary, the uterine size and ovarian size of girls and the pituitary function index in PP group were larger. Pelvic ultrasound and pituitary MRI indexes can better diagnose CPP and can be widely used in clinical practice with positive diagnostic value.PMID:37458631 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202307_32949

Ovarian morphology and follicular dynamics associated with ovarian aging in Bos indicus beef cows
In conclusion, although cows had increased ovarian volume and decreased follicular population as they age, the follicular growth pattern and corpus luteum functionality appear to be unaffected by age.PMID:37353462 | DOI:10.1016/j.anireprosci.2023.107279

Interindividual variation of progesterone elevation post LH rise: implications for natural cycle frozen embryo transfers in the individualized medicine era
CONCLUSION: This study provides an unbiased account of the temporal relationship between LH and progesterone increase in a natural menstrual cycle. Variation in the period between LH rise and progesterone rise in ovulatory cycles likely has implications for the choice of marker for the start of secretory transformation in frozen embryo transfer cycles. The study participants are representative of the relevant population of women undergoing frozen embryo transfer in a natural cycle.PMID:37202769 | DOI:10.1186/s12958-023-01096-4

Ovarian volume partially explains associations of phthalate biomarkers with anti-M üllerian hormone and estradiol in midlife women
CONCLUSION: In this cross-sectional study, phthalates were associated with increased ovarian volume, with implications for midlife hormone production.PMID:36724714 | DOI:10.1016/j.envint.2023.107771

Intraovarian Administration of Autologous Menstrual Blood Derived-Mesenchymal Stromal Cells in Women with Premature Ovarian Failure
CONCLUSION: According to the findings of this study, administration of Men-MSCs improved ovarian function and menstrual restoration in some POF patients.PMID:36702667 | DOI:10.1016/j.arcmed.2022.12.015

Doppler indices of uterine arteries and mRNA transcripts of hormone receptors in cervix vis- à-vis dilatation therapy in buffaloes affected with incomplete cervical dilatation associated with uterine torsion
Anim Reprod Sci. 2022 Dec 20;248:107183. doi: 10.1016/j.anireprosci.2022.107183. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe present study aimed to investigate the Doppler indices and mRNA transcripts of hormone receptors in relation to the response of dilatation therapy in incomplete cervical dilatation (ICD) associated with uterine torsion in buffaloes. Out of 36 successfully detorted uterine torsion cases, eight buffaloes revealed a fully dilated cervix, while the remaining 28 had ICD, and subjected to dilatation therapy (500 μg cloprostenol + 2 mg estradiol benzoate + 80 mg valethamate bromide + 50 IU oxytocin + 250 mL calcium ...
