Age- and Sex-Associated Impacts of Body Mass Index on Stroke Type Risk: A 27-Year Prospective Cohort Study in a Low-Income Population in China
Conclusions Being overweight increased the risk of both ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes; obesity was only associated with an increased risk of IS. Additionally, the positive association between BMI and stroke risk was only observed in participants aged <65 years and the associations differed between men and women. Being overweight increased the risk of both ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes in men and being underweight increased their risk of hemorrhagic stroke. Haemodynamic changes during prone positioning in anaesthetised chronic cervical myelopathy patients
Conclusion: Cervical myelopathy patients experienced hypotension with preserved cardiac output in prone position due to a reduction in total peripheral resistance. Hypotension correlated with the number of levels of spinal cord compression.

Simplified Percutaneous Closure of Patent Foramen Ovale and Atrial Septal Defect With Use of Plain Fluoroscopy: Single Operator Experience in 110 Consecutive Patients

Levosimendan for patients with heart failure undergoing major oncological surgery: A randomised blinded pilot study
Conclusion: In patients with low EF &#60;35&#37; and CHF, administration of levosimendan for 24 hours before major abdominal oncologic surgeries may reduce the risk of hypotension and decompensated heart failure and may improve cardiac function.

Conclusions: Both TED and FloTrac devices can be used effectively to guide GDFT in RT, However, lesser total fluid was required in the FloTrac group, which may lead to a lesser number of fluid-related postoperative complications.
