Performance Stability and Interrater Reliability of Culturally Adapted 10-Meter Walking Test for Danes with Neurological Disorders
Background: The 10-meter Walking Test (10MWT) is often used to assess people with, e.g., stroke, but often using different procedures. The aims of this study were to translate the 10MWT into Danish, to determine the number of trials needed to achieve performance stability, and to examine the interrater reliability and agreement of the 10MWT in people with neurological disorders. Methods: Translation followed international recommendations, and evaluated in a consecutive sample of 50 people with a neurological disorder.

Thrombocytopenia with acute ischemic stroke and bleeding in a patient newly vaccinated with an adenoviral vector-based COVID-19 vaccine
We describe the first Danish case of presumed inflammatory and thrombotic response to vaccination with an adenoviral (ChAdOx1) vector based COVID-19 vaccine (AZD1222). The case describes a 60-year old woman, who was admitted with intractable abdominal pain seven days after receiving the vaccine. Computer Tomography (CT) of the abdomen revealed bilateral adrenal hemorrhages. On the following day she developed a massive right sided ischemic stroke and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) angiography showed occlusion of the right internal carotid artery. The ischemic area was deemed too large to offer reperfusion therapy. During ...

Low Morbidity after Extracranial-Intracranial Bypass Operation. The Danish Extracranial-Intracranial Bypass Study: A Nationwide Survey
Conclusions: The perioperative stroke rate in EC-IC bypass operation, performed at a highly experienced centre, was low. During long-term follow-up, no ipsilateral stroke occurred. Consequently, EC-IC-bypass should still be considered for selected patients with SACAO, if operation can be carried out in experienced centres with low perioperative morbidity.Cerebrovasc Dis 2018;45:252 –257
