Family resilience and its predictors among patients with a first-ever stroke one month after stroke: a cross-sectional study
CONCLUSION: Family resilience was low among stroke patients one month after the onset. Special attention should be paid to families of patients who were divorced, cared for by siblings, or have low social support or self-efficacy in managing stroke. Further research on family-based interventions may focus on increasing patient social support and promoting their self-efficacy in managing stroke.PMID:36602132 | DOI:10.1080/10749357.2023.2165270

Effects of Hyperferritinemia on Functional Outcome in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients with Admission Hyperglycemia
Conclusions: High iron status, presented as hyperferritinemia, is associated with poor 3-month functional outcome in AIS patients with hyperglycemia. Evaluating serum ferritin level may be conducive to assess the risk of short-term poor outcome in AIS patients with hyperglycemia. Further studies will be required to confirm our findings.Cerebrovasc Dis

The effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation on the recovery of attention and memory impairment following stroke: a systematic review and meta-analysis
DISCUSSION: TMS might effectively improve the attention and memory impairment of stroke patients without increasing side effects. But this effect needs to be verified by more multi-center, high-quality, large-sample, rigorously designed RCTs.PMID:36469637 | DOI:10.1080/14737175.2022.2155515
