Identification of the Transcription Factor ATF3 as a Direct and Indirect Regulator of the LDLR
This study relied on two main resources: (1) genes with impact on atherosclerosis/CAD, and (2) liver-specific transcriptome analyses from human and mouse studies. The transcription factor activating transcription factor 3 (ATF3) was identified as a key regulator of a liver network relevant to atherosclerosis and linked to inflammation and cholesterol metabolism. Conclusion We report the discovery that ZEB1-AS1 functionally participates in ox-LDL-induced ECs injury via LRPPRC-mediated stabilization of NOD2. Uncovering the precise role of ZEB1-AS1/LRPPRC/NOD2 pathway in the progression of ox-LDL-induced ECs death and AS will not only increase our knowledge of ox-LDL-induced AS, but also enable the development of novel therapeutic strategies to overcome oxidation product-induced diseases. ConclusionsPVAT-APC from CABG donors express common adipocyte progenitor markers and differentiate into UCP1-containing adipocytes. Rab27a has an endogenous role in promoting the maturation of adipocytes from human PVAT-derived APC.

Long Non-coding RNA-mRNA Correlation Analysis Reveals the Potential Role of HOTAIR in Pathogenesis of Sporadic Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm.
CONCLUSION: Transcriptomic and lncRNA-mRNA correlation analysis revealed HOTAIR was downregulated in STAA and associated with genes involved in extracellular matrix remodelling. Dilong Prevents the High- KCl Cardioplegic Solution Administration-Induced Apoptosis in H9c2 Cardiomyoblast Cells Mediated by MEK.
In this study, we applied Dilong extract to reduce myocardial cell damage from High-KCS infusion and further investigated the mechanisms. H9c2 cardiomyoblast cells were cultured in serum-free medium for 4 h and then treated with Dilong at 31.25, 62.5, 125, and 250 mg/mL for 24 h, which was then followed by High-KCS treatment for 3 h to detect the protective mechanisms of Dilong behind cardiomyocyte apoptosis and cardiac fibrosis.
