Should ultrasound be used routinely in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis?
ConclusionThis review of relevant studies indicates that US should become accepted as the investigation with the most favourable balance of benefits to risks in the early diagnosis of RA. Given the continuing controversy surrounding studies of different imaging techniques in RA, further research into the diagnostic role of US in RA is indicated.

Teaching mandibular implant‐Supported overdentures in dental schools in North America – a survey
ConclusionSome clear trends are apparent in the current survey: the use of two implants, no use of bar connectors and delayed loading of the implants. It is likely that graduates will not have sufficient clinical skills and will need continuing education to be familiar with the required procedures, both surgical and prosthetic.

European radiographers ’ challenges from mammography education and clinical practice – an integrative review
ConclusionsThe introduction of harmonized mammography guidelines across Europe may serve as an evidence-based tool to be implemented in practice and education. However, the variability in human and material resources as well as the different cultural contexts should be considered during this process.Teaching Points• Radiographers’ awareness of their professional identity and enhancing multiprofessional cooperation in mammography.• Radiographers’ responsibilities regarding image quality (IQ) and optimal breast imaging performance.• Patient-centred mammography services focusing on the psychosocial needs of the pati...

Effectiveness of an e-Learning Platform for Image Interpretation Education of Medical Staff and Students
AbstractMedical staff must be able to perform accurate initial interpretations of radiography to prevent diagnostic errors. Education in medical image interpretation is an ongoing need that is addressed by text-based and e-learning platforms. The effectiveness of these methods has been previously reported. Here, we describe the effectiveness of an e-learning platform used for medical image interpretation education. Ten third-year medical students without previous experience in chest radiography interpretation were provided with e-learning instructions. Accuracy of diagnosis using chest radiography was provided before and a...

Arthrodesis of the Fourth and Fifth Tarsometatarsal Joints in a Sensate Patient with Post-Traumatic Arthritis: A Case Report and Surgical Technique
J Am Podiatr Med Assoc. 2023 Mar-Apr;113(2):21-051. doi: 10.7547/21-051.ABSTRACTLateral column arthrodesis of the tarsometatarsal joints is a highly controversial topic in foot and ankle surgery, with minimal prospective research and reproducible findings in the current literature. Arthrodesis of the lateral fourth and fifth tarsometatarsal joints, when performed, is most often done secondary to post-traumatic osteoarthritis or Charcot's neuroarthropathy deformity. This case report focuses on arthrodesis of the lateral column in a patient with post-traumatic osteoarthritis from a previously sustained Lisfranc fracture-disl...
