Video consultation evaluation during COVID-19 pandemic in Juarez, Mexico
Conclusions: Pneumological VC facilitated access to specialized care, improved equity, cancelled exposure to SARS CoV-2, and saved time and expenses. The cost of consultation was reduced, and accurate treatments were prescribed. The resistance to this new format and the absence of physical examination, were the only hindrances in our context.

Moving beyond silos: professional learning networks in higher education
We report findings of a qualitative study that investigated participants' perspectives on their PLN experiences through analysis of survey data from 151 higher education faculty and professionals. Data analysis suggested that the anytime, anywhere availability of expansive PLNs, and their capacity to respond to educators' diverse interests and needs, fostered new learning experiences. Participants reported that their PLNs supported professional growth, specifically in the areas of teaching and learning. These findings have implications for defining the present and future of faculty learning and development in a digital age.

Learning styles and critical thinking relationship in baccalaureate nursing education: A systematic review
Conclusions: Commonly accepted models in nursing education were lacking in both learning styles and critical thinking. Within studies identical learning styles were found to be positively or negatively related to critical thinking. However comparative findings across studies revealed that all learning styles might be positive determinants toward critical thinking evolution, suggesting that there is a relationship between learning styles and critical thinking. Certain links between learning styles and critical thinking were supported in given settings and given nursing student populations. Further field exploration is required.

Government plans for higher education ‘a big disappointment’ says UNISON
UNISON has today (Friday) criticised new government proposals for higher education in England for failing to tackle key issues including funding, student access and increased social mobility. Students face being burdened with even more debt under the long-awaited plans published today by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, says UNISON. UNISON General Secretary Dave Prentis said: “The Green Paper proposes giving the Secretary of State powers to increase tuition fees further, saddling poorer students with even more debt, and doing nothing to increase social mobility. “The government says it wants to encou...

AbstractSelf-management education programs (SMEPs) have demonstrated a measurable benefit in enhancing self-efficacy, increasing health knowledge, and improving both health behaviors and physical symptoms associated with underlying conditions in multiple chronic disease populations. Adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer, defined as individuals ages 15 to 39  years, are at a high risk for adverse health outcomes due to late complications from previous cancer treatments, knowledge deficits of their risks, and complex socioeconomic challenges associated with transitional periods in their lives. We pe...

Three ‐Dimensional Tooth Models with Pulp Cavity Enhance Dental Anatomy Education
This study aimed to build up an online dental learning platform of micro ‐computed tomography‐based three‐dimensional (3D) tooth models with pulp cavity, and to further evaluate its effectiveness for dental anatomy education using a cohort study. First, ninety‐six extracted permanent teeth were scanned by micro‐computed tomography and the enamel, dentine, and p ulp cavity of each was distinguished by different grey‐scale intensities using Mimics software. Three‐dimensional images allowed further discrimination and insights into permanent three‐rooted premolars, central tip, and dental diseases including dee...
