ZNF746 promotes M2 macrophage polarisation and favours tumour progression in breast cancer via the Jagged1/Notch pathway
In conclusion, this study uncovers the role of ZNF746 in promoting M2 macrophage polarisation and suggests that ZNF746 may be a promising therapeutic target for limiting BC progression.PMID:37730102 | DOI:10.1016/j.cellsig.2023.110892

Regulatory effect of zinc finger protein A20 on rheumatoid arthritis through NLRP3/Caspase-1 signaling axis mediating pyroptosis of HFLS- RA cells
In conclusion, this study is of great significance for understanding the role of the NLRP3-caspase-1-IL-1β/ pyroptosis signaling pathway in the occurrence and development of RA. It is expected that the results will provide a theoretical basis for the immune regulation of innate immunity in the occurrence and development of RA, while providing a new therapeutic target for the clinical treatment of RA.PMID:37715399 | DOI:10.14715/cmb/2023.69.8.27

A pancancer analysis of the oncogenic role of ZNRF2 in human tumours
J Cell Mol Med. 2023 Aug 8. doi: 10.1111/jcmm.17900. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTFinding effective treatments for cancer requires a thorough understanding of how it develops and progresses. Recent research has revealed the crucial role that Zinc and ring finger 2 (ZNRF2) play in the progression of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by controlling cell growth and death. However, a comprehensive analysis of ZNRF2's role in cancer as a whole has yet to be conducted. Our study sought to investigate the impact of ZNRF2 on diverse human tumours, as well as the molecular pathways involved, using databases such as TCGA (The Canc...

Molecules, Vol. 28, Pages 5934: Caspase-1 Regulates the Apoptosis and Pyroptosis Induced by Phthalocyanine Zinc-Mediated Photodynamic Therapy in Breast Cancer MCF-7 Cells
o Chunhui Xia Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is an innovative and perspective antineoplastic therapy. Tetra-α-(4-carboxyphenoxy) phthalocyanine zinc (TαPcZn)-mediated PDT (TαPcZn-PDT) has shown antitumor activity in some tumor cells, but the manner in which caspase-1 is involved in the regulation of apoptosis and pyroptosis in the TαPcZn-PDT-treated breast cancer MCF-7 cells is unclear. Therefore, effects of TαPcZn-PDT on cytotoxicity, cell viability, apoptosis, pyroptosis, cellular reactive oxygen species (ROS), mitochondrial membrane potential (&...

CYP2E1 triggered GRP78/ATF6/CHOP signalling axis inhibit apoptosis and promotes progression of hepatocellular carcinoma
Arch Biochem Biophys. 2023 Jul 25:109701. doi: 10.1016/j.abb.2023.109701. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTHepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) is an enzyme, primarily involved in the metabolism of xenobiotics and procarcinogens. The present study was designed to investigate the potential role of CYP2E1 triggered endoplasmic reticulum stress in the progression of HCC through inhibition of apoptosis. In vitro CYP2E1 promotes HepG2 cell migration, reduced chromatin condensation, enhanced intracellular ROS accumulation and induce cell cycle progressio...

Dentin Matrix Protein 1 Regulates Mineralization of MC3T3-E1 Cells via the TNAP-ANK-ENPP1 Axis
CONCLUSIONS: DMP1 regulated mineralization of MC3T3-E1 cells via the TNAP-ANK-ENPP1 axis and affected TNAP activity by two processes-rapid regulation of the Zn2+ transporter (ZnT) and transcriptional regulation of hysteresis. However, DMP1 may affect expression of ENPP1 and ANK only via hysteresis transcriptional regulation. DMP1, as a calcium trap or catalytic enzyme, appears to have a role in collagen mineralization.PMID:37380477 | DOI:10.1272/jnms.JNMS.2023_90-306
