Reprint - Medical and surgical interventions for the treatment of urinary stones in children: A Cochrane Review.
CONCLUSIONS: Based on mostly very low-quality evidence for most comparisons and outcomes, we are uncertain about the effect of nearly all medical and surgical interventions to treat stone disease in children. There is a critical need for better-quality trials assessing patient-important outcomes in children with stone disease to inform future guidelines on the management of this condition. Examining patient safety attitudes among urology trainees
Conclusions Attitudes to briefing and multidisciplinary feedback appear to have improved since the introduction of the World Health Organization surgical checklist and wider use of feedback tools; other safety attitudes remain largely unchanged. Urology trainees may benefit from further training to better understand the mechanisms of error development, to raise awareness of human performance limitation, particularly the effects of stress and fatigue, and to develop techniques to challenge decisions/respond to challenges.

Unexpected Complications Following Adult Medical Male Circumcision Using the PrePex Device

Navigating the Treatment Landscape
for Advanced-stage Kidney Cancer Mayer N. Fishman, MD, PhD For the patient with advanced-stage kidney cancer, deciding on a course of treatment presents diverse choices. The physician must weigh how quickly the cancer is spreading, the pattern of that spread, and relative risks from other medical conditions against the patient’s individual treatment goals and medical needs. In many cases of patients with advanced disease, there are therapies that can realistically be used to meet the goals of longer survival, longer time to disease progression, and tumor shrinkage. While choosing a kidney cancer treatment can be a...

Health information quality on the internet for bladder cancer and urinary diversion: a multi-lingual analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: A lack of validation of bladder cancer sites is present, which is consistent across modes of urinary diversion (orthotopic neobladder and ileal conduit) and languages. It is important that physicians involved in the care of bladder cancer patients undergoing radical cystectomy and urinary diversion participate in the development of informative, ethical, and reliable health Web sites and direct patients to them. Psychosocial effects in patients with penile cancer : A systematic review.
CONCLUSION: The external genitals are a focus of sexual identity. Mutilating treatment causes significant distress but organ-sparing treatment and reconstruction positively influence quality of life. PMID: 29476193 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine Effects on Semen Parameters: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: No effects were observed regarding sperm viability and semen volume since the results of all the studies crossed the line of no effect. All seminal parameters analyzed showed a negligible or small change in relation to the vaccination effect. Furthermore, the parameters remained within the normal World Health Organization reference ranges, making the clinical significance unclear. Therefore, based on these results, it appears that vaccination does not have negative effects on semen quality. The individual study findings suggested that COVID-19 vaccines are not associated with decreased semen parameters.PMID:36...
