Allergy to Mammalian Meat Linked to Alpha-Gal Syndrome Potentially After Tick Bite in the Amazon: A Case Series
This study confirms the presence of this new entity in French Guiana and is the largest reported in Latin America. Our results do not clearly allow us to state that tick bites are the cause of this allergy, but all patients reported being exposed regularly to these arthropods.PMID:34544046 | DOI:10.4269/ajtmh.20-1630

Allergy Prevalence in France and Skin Impact - Epidemiological Survey of a Representative Sample of French Adults
CONCLUSION: It is estimated that over 10 million French adults have allergies. These data will help increase awareness among the allergic population and healthcare professionals about the burden associated with allergies and the need for management to reduce their health impact.PMID:34285536 | PMC:PMC8286784 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S307345

Real-life experience with hazelnut oral immunotherapy
CONCLUSION: H-OIT appeared effective and well accepted by children. This is counterbalanced by a high rate of H-OIT discontinuation, mainly due to aversion to hazelnut, and an important rate of adverse reactions, which are however mostly mild.PMID:35007745 | DOI:10.1016/j.anai.2022.01.002

Individual healthcare plan for allergic children  at school: lessons from a 2015‐2016 school year survey
ConclusionIHP is mainly implemented for FA. Anaphylaxis remains rare in the school setting and FA is often a suspected cause of reaction. Staff training should be improved. Antituberculosis Drug-Associated DRESS: A Case Series
Conclusions We described the largest case series of first-line antituberculosis drug-associated DRESS in the literature. All antituberculosis drugs pose a risk of DRESS. An early withdrawal of the culprit drugs is essential. A drug allergy evaluation must be performed to optimize the second-line treatment of tuberculosis infection.

Nutritional management of cow's milk allergy in children: An update.
Abstract Cow's milk is one of the most common foods responsible for allergic reactions in children. Cow's milk allergy (CMA) involves immunoglobulin E (IgE)- and non-IgE-mediated reactions, the latter being both variable and nonspecific. Guidelines thus emphasize the need for physicians to recognize the specific syndromes of CMA and to respect strict diagnostic modalities. Whatever the clinical pattern of CMA, the mainstay of treatment is the elimination from the diet of cow's milk proteins. The challenge is that both the disease and the elimination diet may result in insufficient height and weight gain and bone m...

Epinephrine in Severe Allergic Reactions: The European Anaphylaxis Register
Conclusions Despite clear recommendations, only a small proportion of anaphylaxis incidents are treated with epinephrine. We demonstrated a slight increase in treated patients when handled by professionals, but stagnation in lay- or self-treated anaphylaxis. The reaction circumstances, the respondent's professional background, and patient characteristics did not explain which reactions were treated.
