Two year adverse outcomes of the magnetic levitated centrifugal continuous flow circulatory pump versus the axial continuous-flow pump for advanced heart failure: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Conclusions: At a follow-up time period of 2 years, pump replacement was significantly higher with the axial continuous-flow pump in comparison to the magnetic levitated centrifugal continuous flow circulatory pump. However, no significant difference was observed with the other adverse outcomes.

Dual Versus Triple Therapy for Atrial Fibrillation After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.

Prevalence of the age-related diseases in older patients with acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that a careful comprehensive geriatric assessment of acquired TTP patients is necessary. It is important to look for other autoimmune diseases and such age-related comorbidities as osteoporosis, arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular disease. Trends and outcomes of device-related 30-day readmissions after left ventricular assist device implantation.
CONCLUSION: Over one-fourth of LVAD recipients have 30-day readmissions, with most of them occurring within 15 days. Most frequent cause of readmission was gastrointestinal bleeding, which was associated with the lowest in-hospital mortality among other complications. Simultaneous cardio-cerebral infarction in the coronavirus disease pandemic era: A case series
Conclusion: Early recognition and immediate treatment is important in different scenarios leading to thrombosis as the outcome. Additionally, addressing the unknown risks that could contribute to our traditional understanding of these causative mechanisms is important. The hypothesis of exacerbated damage caused by inflammatory and immunological endothelial systemic damage should further be explored to be able to delineate new possibilities in managing these conditions.

Dual therapy with an oral non-vitamin K antagonist and a P2Y12 inhibitor vs triple therapy with aspirin, a P2Y12 inhibitor and a vitamin K antagonist for the treatment of diabetes mellitus patients with co-existing atrial fibrillation following percutaneous coronary intervention: A meta-analysis
Conclusions: DT with a NOAC and a P2Y12 inhibitor was associated with significantly less bleeding events without increasing the adverse cardiovascular outcomes when compared to TT with aspirin, a P2Y12 inhibitor and a Vitamin K antagonist for the treatment of DM patients with co-existing AF following PCI. Hence, DT is comparable in efficacy, but safer compared to TT. This interesting hypothesis will have to be confirmed in future studies.
