A Further Step to Develop Patient-Friendly Implementation Strategies for Virtual Reality-Based Rehabilitation in Patients With Acute Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: Levels of difficulty and enjoyment during VR-based rehabilitation differed depending on the phases of recovery and training mode. Therefore, graded implementation strategies for VR-based rehabilitation are necessary for overcoming patient-perceived difficulty and enhancing enjoyment. Ease of following the directions might be best considered in the very early stage, whereas multisensory feedback may be more necessary in the later stage. The effects of electromyography-triggered electrical stimulation on shoulder subluxation, muscle activation, pain, and function in stroke patients - pilot study.
CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, task-oriented electromyography-triggered stimulation improved shoulder subluxation, muscle activation, pain and upper extremity function. These results suggest that task-oriented electromyography-triggered stimulation is effective and beneficial for individuals with subacute stroke, and that further studies should be conducted on multivarious anatomical regions. IJERPH, Vol. 18, Pages 10034: Responsiveness of the Spanish Version of Newcastle Stroke-Specific Quality of Life Measure (NEWSQOL)
Conclusion: The Spanish version of NEWSQOL shows between marked and mild responsiveness to measure the perception of QoL in post-stroke patients. Therefore, its use can be suitable for evaluation studies, clinical trials and clinical practice.

A Tablet-Based Tool for Accurate Measurement of Hand Proprioception After Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: Both the tablet-based tool and the custom PMDD performed better than manual assessment. The PMDD may be useful when the deficit is mild or assessment of dynamic proprioception is desired. Effectiveness of neuromuscular taping on painful hemiplegic shoulder: a randomised clinical trial.
