Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) is a Th-2 mediated chronic disease of eosinophil infiltration of the esophageal mucosa, with a wide range of symptoms from mild GI pain to severe dysphagia and food impaction. EoE is increasing in developed countries throughout the world in varying populations.1 Prevalence studies of EoE among Hispanic/Latino populations from US and Spain/Latin America have shown conflicting results, with a wide range from 8.7 to 111.9 cases/100,000 people, respectively, with a median of 53.4/100,000.

Daily Clinical Practice in the Management of Chronic Urticaria in Spain: Results of the UCREX Study
CONCLUSIONS: Although most CU patients are treated with NS-H1AH, disease activity is still important, negatively affecting patients' QoL, work activity and healthcare resources use. An appropriate disease management could be the basis for symptoms control, QoL improvement and resources optimization.PMID:35249717 | DOI:10.1016/j.ad.2021.06.007

IJERPH, Vol. 17, Pages 594: Associations between Physical Activity and Comorbidities in People with COPD Residing in Spain: A Cross-Sectional Analysis
nchez There is a high prevalence of comorbidities among patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Comorbidities are likely common in patients with any COPD degree and are associated with increased mortality. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of thirty-one different COPD comorbidities and to evaluate the association between physical activity (PA) levels in people with COPD residing in Spain. New Trends in Migraine Pharmacology: Targeting Calcitonin Gene –Related Peptide (CGRP) With Monoclonal Antibodies
Conclusion Migraine is a disabling and debilitating neurovascular painful condition representing more than 90% of cases of recurrent headache and toward which the tendency can be inherited (MacGregor, 2017). Divalproex sodium, sodium valproate, topiramate, metoprolol, propranolol, and timolol have proven strong, level A, evidence for migraine prevention (American Academy of Neurology and American Headache Society, 2015). However, all the classic oral preventative treatments including tricyclic antidepressants, beta blockers, 5-HT2 antagonists ergots and anti-epileptic drugs were not developed for migraine and provide 50% ...

Histamine and Delirium: Current Opinion
This study indicated that switch from H2 blockers to PPIs reduced delirium and, thus, providing an appropriate strategy to combat drug-induced delirium using antiulcer drugs (Fujii et al., 2012). The ventrolateral preoptic nucleus is a sleep-promoting nucleus located in the basal forebrain. A commonly used intravenous anesthetic, propofol, had been reported to induce sleep and augment the firing rate of neurons in ventrolateral GABAergic preoptic nucleus, but the underlining mechanism is yet to be clearly determined. Interestingly, the propofol-induced inhibition of inhibitory postsynaptic currents on noradrenalin-inhibite...
