CONCLUSION: Open TAA(A) repair is a durable therapy for patients with CTD. Often being performed as revision surgery, it can be associated with relevant risks and should therefore be reserved for specialised centres. Oral Anticoagulation in Chronic Kidney Disease and Atrial Fibrillation.

Cardiac complications in children with chronic renal: Prevalence of risk factors
ConclusionCardiovascular complications are almost constant in hemodialysis children with chronic renal failure strongly related with left ventricular hypertrophy and arterial hypertension. The high risk of mortality related to these cardiac complications makes it essential to have good control of arterial blood pressure and especially a good observance of treatment and regimen in hemodialysis children.

Peritonitis affects the relationship between low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and cardiovascular events in peritoneal dialysis patients
ConclusionsPD patients with lower baseline LDL-C had a higher risk of peritonitis. The effect of LDL-C on CV events and mortality was different by the presence of peritonitis events.

Sustained Low-Efficiency Dialysis is Associated with Worsening Cerebral Edema and Outcomes in Intracerebral Hemorrhage
ConclusionsSLED treatment in ICH patients with CKD was associated with significant increase in rate and frequency of PHE expansion. Absolute increase in PHE during 48-h post-ICH was associated with increased mortality and worse functional outcomes. Further prospective and multicenter evaluation is needed to differentiate the effects of RRT on hematoma dynamics and patient outcomes from those attributed to CKD.
