Refining age stratum of the C < sub > 2 < /sub > HEST score for predicting incident atrial fibrillation in a hospital-based Chinese population
CONCLUSION: In a hospital-based Chinese population, by refining the age strata of the original C2HEST score, the mC2HEST score had significantly increased predictive accuracy and discriminative capability for incident AF. The clinical benefits of the application of novel mC2HEST score needs further validation in multiple settings.PMID:33975769 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejim.2021.04.014

Hypothyroidism is associated with clinical outcomes in patients with acute myocardial infarction: subgroup analysis of China PEACE study
ConclusionCompared with euthyroid status, hypothyroid status has an independent predicting value for adverse cardiovascular events in AMI patients. Further investigations are required to illustrate whether treatment of thyroid dysfunction could improve the prognosis of AMI patients.

Association Between a Body Shape Index and Subclinical Carotid Atherosclerosis in Population Free of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases
CONCLUSIONS: ABSI, as a novel anthropometric indicator compared with traditional indices, was found to have a closer relationship with subclinical carotid atherosclerosis, even in populations free of hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.PMID:34483222 | DOI:10.5551/jat.62988

The efficacy and safety of quantitative flow ratio-guided complete revascularization in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and multivessel disease: A pilot randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, STEMI and MVD patients can benefit from QFR-G-CR of non-IRA lesions in the initial stages of acute MI. This can help reduce incidences of major adverse cardiovascular events and unstable angina, relative to IRA treatment only. Efficacy and Safety of Traditional Chinese Medicine Injections for Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction: A Bayesian Network Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
Conclusion: This Bayesian network meta-analysis results show that the combination of qualified TCMIs and CT is more effective for HFrEF patients than CT alone, and CT + XML and CT + SM may be one of the potential optimal treatments. Also, the safety of these TCMIs needs to be further observed. However, due to some limitations, the conclusions need to be verified by more large-sample, double-blind, multi-center RCTs.

Current prescription status of antihypertensive drugs in Chinese patients with hypertension: analysis by type of comorbidities
Clin Exp Hypertens. 2022 Jan 3:1-9. doi: 10.1080/10641963.2021.2022688. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIn 2020, the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases with National Committee on Hypertension Management in Primary Health Care in China issued revised national clinical practice guidelines on the management of hypertension in primary health care based on the 2018 Chinese guidelines for the management of hypertension. To evaluate adherence to the guidelines, this retrospective study assessed the real-world status of antihypertensive drug prescribing for Chinese patients with hypertension, classified by comorbidity: coro...
