Recurrent Intra-Luminal Aortic Thrombus And Ischemic Stroke In A Patient With Essential Thrombocythemia (P6.262)
CONCLUSIONS: This case highlights the importance of recognizing essential thrombocythemia as an entity that can lead to devastating complications, including acute coronary syndrome and either arterial and venous thrombosis. Early recognition and effective cytoreductive therapy are cornerstones to the prevention of recurrent embolism. Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair of Aortic Arch Pathologies with the Conformable Thoracic Aortic Graft: Early and 2 year Results from a European Multicentre Registry.
CONCLUSION: The CTAG stent graft shows high deployment accuracy, good conformability, and clinical effectiveness in the treatment of aortic arch pathologies. However, thoracic endovascular aortic repair in the arch is associated with a relatively high stroke rate. “Phacing” a New Cause of Carotid Artery Dissection
Conclusions: Noteworthy, among vascular abnormalities of PHACE, CADs have never been reported before. Our 2 cases suggest that CAD is an underecognized cerebrovascular manifestation of PHACE and it should be searched for in these patients. Ultrasound, being noninvasive and portable, is a useful tool for the assessment and follow-up of these patients.

Giant aneurysm of the abdominal aorta
A 79-year-old man with a history of smoking, hypertension, chronic pulmonary disease, and nondisabling stroke was admitted to the emergency department due to loss of consciousness and diffuse abdominal pain. At admission, the patient was vigil but hypotensive (90/60 mm Hg) and tachycardic (107 bpm). Physical examination revealed a tender, pulsatile mass occupying the entire abdomen (A).
