Factors associated with cognitive impairment at 3, 6, and 12 months after the first stroke among Lebanese survivors
ConclusionThe risk of PSCI among Lebanese stroke survivors was high especially in the acute phase, depending on various determinants. Health care providers are invited to implement an emergency rehabilitation program for an appropriate successful management of the risk factors in order to reduce stroke burden and to improve overall cognitive performance.

Needs of Internally Displaced Women and Children in Baghdad, Karbala, and Kirkuk, Iraq
Conclusions The vulnerability of this population is great, and the emotional trauma of multiple displacements, kidnapping and deaths from intentional violence is great. While some aid is reaching families, much more is needed. Though Iraq is a middle income country, reaching the IDPs in central Iraq will take much more in international assistance than is currently being received. Visual impairment and multimorbidity in a representative sample of the Spanish population
Conclusions: Arthritis, stroke and the co-occurrence of various chronic physical diseases are associated with higher prevalence of visual impairment. Visual impairment is associated with higher prevalence of depression and poorer cognitive function results. There is a need to implement patient-centered care involving special visual assessment in these cases.

Ischaemic stroke at a young age is a serious event – final results of a population‐based long‐term follow‐up in Western Norway
ConclusionsOur data show a heterogeneous prognosis and high mortality even for long‐time survivors of ischaemic stroke at a young age. Prospective studies of young stroke patients and controls are necessary for direct comparison.
