Abstract 2312: Identifying novel cancer stem cell target for triple-negative breast cancer
The objective of this study was to investigate the role of HN1L in regulating BCSC and metastasis in TNBC, and to determine the mechanism of action of HN1L in BCSC. Knocking down HN1L by shRNA in SUM159 and MDAMB231 cell lines significantly decreased mammosphere forming efficiency (MSFE) and CD44+/CD24low/- population. To assess the contribution of HN1L to BCSC and tumor growth, a patient derived human-cancer-in-mouse xenograft model and two cancer cell line xenograft models were employed. WNK1-OSR1 kinase-mediated phospho-activation of Na+-K+-2Cl- cotransporter facilitates glioma migration
Conclusion: Together, our data show a novel role for the WNK1/OSR1/NKCC1 pathway in basal and TMZ-induced glioma migration, and suggest that glioma treatment with TMZ might be improved by drugs that inhibit elements of the WNK1/OSR1/NKCC1 signaling pathway.

YB-1 dependent oncolytic adenovirus efficiently inhibits tumor growth of glioma cancer stem like cells
Conclusion: The results of this study supported YB-1 based virotherapy as an attractive therapeutic strategy for GBM treatment which will be exploited further in multimodal treatment concepts.

Overcoming resistance to sonic hedgehog inhibition by targeting p90 ribosomal S6 kinase in pediatric medulloblastoma
ConclusionsRSK inhibitors are promising because they target RSK which is correlated with SHH patients as well as cause high levels of apoptosis to only MB cells.
